I have a few and I'd like to have a go at making some but got no idea where to start with this,
I've done some searching on the web but nothing that covers a step by step tutorial for FM08.

I have the needed graphics progs im sure,

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

if you mean for the new style facepacks.
then no there is not.
however there is tutorials for fm07

Not very difficult though, if you just try... Use the pen tool, it would give the best result. You can also just use the magic wand in some cases.

Just give it a try. I could have done one, if I didn't speak so lousy english... But really, do a search for pen tool tutorial etc.

Ok, I made a quick movie here, however, I will delete it soon, but I guess I can make a better one in a few days, when I have the time.

This is a very simple face though, with a simple one color background, then the magic wand would do good. It may not be the best way, but this is the way I would do it. The reason for the red background I used here, is just to see if the cutout is ok.

yor idea is good but it work only with white and red ect backgrounds please take a look at this picture and use this method

The pen tool would be best for most images... I might do a better tutorial if I have the time.
