competition names, in the past, have been editable in the editor that has come with the game.

i think the kits etc work in both mac and pc versions the same?

Yes managed to the mac version of winrar to get the graphics now thanks. Competition names came be change in the editor. Just click the competition tab and search for the name of the comp you want to change, then edit it.

Does anybody know how to get the kits to show up for reserve and u18's teams?

I think the reserve and youth teams have random unique id's, so the config files need to be edited after the game has been started. I sometimes do it for my team when playing a long term game.
