Before the patch and in 2007 I was able to apply tight marking to all fowards, and tightmarking+always closing down to all wingers; however, it seems like in 8.0.1, doing so gives the opponent a lot of chances "aka, dribbling past the DCs and scoring easy goals when you set always tight mark to fast strikers. Can someone confirm? Do opposition not work anymore? Should you use it only rarely now? Thanks

i have never found it to work well.. if you use tight marking or close down yor players could get out of position, leaving a big gap for the oposition to exploit..

if some of the oposition has low stamina or has a lov bravery atribute i put "hard tackling" on them

This is a major issue for me aswell. The opposition instructions are totally rubbish after the patch to be honest.

Setting tight marking:always to a striker is like giving him a reversed kiss of death, he will with 99% certainty score at least once that game.
