Just started my 2nd season of FM2008 this morning with Rangers. After about midway through July still no fixtures announce for new season of the SPL. I thought it was strange but kept on playing friendlies signing players and that and thought I'd wait and see what happens. It turned out nothing did and it got to the end of August, group stages of champions league starting and still no league!!! DEVASTATED!

Anyway am currently trying to leave my status as on holiday until the next season to see what happens.

Has anyone else had this problem before and know any way to stop it from happening again????

i think it is a known problem mate. Have you downloaded the Beta cos that should sort the problem out.

It happened to me - the beta patch fixes it.

Yeah, known problem. Something to do with saving the game on a certin date.

Beta patch fixes the problem.

I think you have to play from May till June 20th without saving.

It's a known problem that will happen if you save your game and exit between the last match of the season and the season update date (Middle of June)

This issue is fixed in the beta version of the 8.0.1 patch which is available now. Not sure if this will repair your saved game though or whether you will have to start again.

Does anyone know if this problem is just with the SPL or does it affect other leagues for instance premiership and championship?
