My son’s laptop developed a fault in the CD/DVD drive. As the laptop was just out of warranty, it was cheaper to buy an external CD/DVD that connects via a USB cable. I disabled the on-board CD/DVD in the Hardware set-up.


Now when |I put the FM 2008 disk in the new drive, I get an error message telling me to remove the disk from the current drive and insert in in the other one"

Any suggestions how to resolve the problem?

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling from the new drive.

Some games for obscure reasons only let you play them from the drive you installed them on.
