I purchased the Mac digital download from E-sellerate and tried to add the v8.0.1 patch. When I double click on the package .pkg it gives me the following error:

"Could not find specified message for index 0" and the patch exits. I've poked around the AppleScript and wasn't able to handle the update by copying over the WSM.app either.

I have WSM (USA-based) in the default install location running on Leopard (10.5.1).

Overall, I've found this years version much harder to install/maintain than previous years. I understand there are folks like Marc working hard, but simple things like save games, ability to update/patch from the game vs. having to check message boards and the like are a very poor quality finish. Also there has been a lot of website maintenance over the holiday that has added to my frustration.

In my opinion v8.0 was a beta release and not ready for public distribution. All in all, I hope the development group takes this feedback constructively and returns to their traditional level of quality.<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> </pre>

What patch did you download, and from where did you download it?

I downloaded the Digital Download version for WSM that is posted at the beginning of this forum.

I've tried both the torrent and the other link as well twice to make sure it isn't a corrupted file.

The file name is "WSM2008_v8.0.1_eSellerate_Patch"
