I planned to play FM08 with the English, French, Italian, Portugese, Spanish and Australian leagues. Including second divsion for all those countries. I'd also planned to include all real players and select all the players availible from all the countries on the North and South American continents on a Large database.

After doing this, and waiting 15 minutes for one week to go by, i gave up.

Now i'm just playing the Australian league, with a large database on one countries players, and it works fine. But for FM09, i plan to go all out.

But i'm sure i'm going to need to get some for of upgrade onto my current computer.

Anyone able to tell me what i should get??? More RAM??? I'm not sure how much my current computer has (RAM that is). Were can i cheak?? Is there anything else i might need??

Go to START>RUN and type dxdiag.It will show all the info you need for your comp.

Well without a time machine or a crystal ball, there isnt a way to accurately say what will be best - maybe SI will turn around and make FM09 a RAM guzzler, so to speak.

but generally for FM08 you're looking at least 1gig of ram, 1.8ghz processor, ideally your looking for the newer intel chips (twice the processing power).

to Play a large number of leagues with a large db - you'll need AT LEAST 2gig of ram.

I just did the dxdiag thing. And i think my processor is fine. Its a Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz, ~2.6GHz

As for the Memory, it looks as though thats where i'm gonna need to do some spending

Currently i've only got 512MB RAM. But i'll take BlackofSic's advice and upgarde to 2GIG.

Is there anything else i might need??

RAM and processor is really all you need worry about with a game like FM08 - its mostly all processing and the ridiculously huge database lol
