Come December, and the players forget what football is...
Seriously, it was the same in FM07 - I'm managing Real Madrid, starting the season with a 19 match unbeaten run and having only 1 goal against in the league. Then it's December, and suddenly I lose to/draw with teams way below Reals quality. My players produce a lot of chances, but suddenly none of my players can score, and the opposition's forwards only need half a chance to bag a goal.
Get it fixed, please - it's *not* realistic, no matter what some of you FM "fanbois" think. Yes, teams can hit a bad run, but that should be reflected in the amount of chances produced, or perhaps in one or two players playing way below their usual standard. Making it harder to score (a lot of one on one's are missed), for no apparent reason just doesn't make sense.
The only example from real life which resembles this issue somewhat, is the way Getafe started the season this year. But in FM it has always happened around Christmas. It just ruins the game for me - I don't expect to win every single match, but when a team with quality players high on confidence suddenly start playing like toddlers, something feels wrong. It's like if being too succesful must be punished.
Rant over.
