In my opinion it is not as bad as people seem to make out, look at this:-

I am still not too sure whether this is a problem, i am plymouth argyle and in my first pre season friendly i played Cliftonville

The score was Cliftonville 0-2 Plymouth

Match Stats

Shots: Cliftonville 7 Plymouth 27
On target Cliftonville 4 Plymouth 15
Possession Cliftonville 47% Plymouth 53%

Obviously i had 15 shots on target and scored 2 goals, not too bad i suppose could be a little better.

In my second game i beat Glentoran 4-0

Match Stats

Shots: Glentoran 3 Plymouth 21
On Target Glentoran 2 Plymouth 14
Possession Glentoran 47% Plymouth 53%

The only thing i noticed in the above game is that one of my strikers was basically on the goal line and missed however 4 goals from 14 shots on target seems fair.

In my 3rd friendly game i played Longford.

The score was Longford 3-3 Plymouth

Match Stats

Shots: Longford 19 Plymouth 9
On Target Longford 7 Plymouth 6
Posession Longford 50% Plymouth 50%

I did have a goal disallowed for a foul but nothing else strange happened.

What do you people make of this? It doesn't seem too bad to me but i'm not sure, i would like some opinions.


Just started again with west brom to see if anything is different.

Pre season friendly

On Target Queen Of South 1 West Brom 8
Possesion Queen Of South 45% West Brom 55%

I would say 4 goals out of 8 on target is very reasonable.

Next game

Cork City 0 West Brom 3
Shots Cork City 13 West Brom 24
On target Cork City 6 West Brom 13
Possession Cork City 50% West Brom 50%

Again 3 goals from 13 shots on target is not bad.

Next game

West Brom 1 QPR 1

Shots West Brom 16 QPR 11
On Target West Brom 9 QPR 6
Posession West Brom 45% QPR 55%

Seems fair enough to me.

I'm a little fed up with people posting to say there's a problem, and then not accepting it when I say that some people aren't experiencing it (which makes their argument that it's a problem with the game coding invalid), some people have managed to adjust their tactics to stop it happening (making their "it's not tactics" argument invalid), and they need to post proof before they can say there's a problem (which they refuse to do, because "they can't be bothered").

Your example is only a fairly small number of games, but it shows that the "problem" isn't happening to everyone.

There is a 5-page thread discussing this, and SI posted in it to say they don't believe there's a problem, and in 5 pages, no-one has been able to convince me yet.
