I agree, it fixed lots of bugs, mainly the closing down bug which made me win against Chelsea with Ajax 6-1. But it brought other very annoying issues.

- goalkeepers are gods now; they parry almost everything (NEC keeper, Hungarian, has reflexes to max and other 3-4 near to max, he's 33 years old, but he's a god...and only worth 2 million euros?!!!!)

- Technical attributes are worthless. I bought Rafael Van der Vaart for 30 million euros and he hasn't even made a single assist in 6 games, not to mention a goal. (AMC settings, free role...)

- clubs want huge amounts of money for players (Dutch league, Feyenoord wanted 45 million euros for De Guzman)

- Confidence still broken, especially at signings

- my lone striker, supported by 3 AM's, only scored 4 goals in 6 matches...

- players miss horribly, even from 6 meters


Just won't do it. FM 2007 is still better!

lol yeah i have the same problem. Dean ashton isn't scoring a hatrick a game...must be a problem with the game

51 goals in 55 matches last season... The striker is Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

I don't know, but last season he was 33 goals out of 27 games (the highest rate). And I always get 0-0 or 1-0 games. When you have 4 attacking players who have an insane amount of creativity, and you get 0-0's, it's unnerving.

And you don't find that incredibly unrealistic and pointing to a potential problem in the game, but a good strike rate of over 1 in 2 is a problem? :eek:

It was in FM2007 too. I bought Renatinho from Santos to Basel, the first season he scored like 40 in 50 matches. Even 40 in 50 is very unrealistic...

You signed Van der Vaart and he hasnt made an assist in six games - but you havent given him time to settle into how the team plays. Your striker has scored 4 in 6 games. This is a fantastic ratio for any striker. It would seem you are upset that the NEC keeper had a good game against you. You know what, these things happen. All your issues seem very realistic to me, especially as you havent given the season a chance to develop. And if Huntelaar scored 50 odd goals before the patch, would you not think that maybe this was something to do with the closing down bug - which has now been fixed? Dont slate something just because you get a couple of bad results.

if you look almost everyone is suffering from this keeper prob, and so many examples av been givin for it to be more then the persons tactics.

tactics can only do so much but if your world class striker keeps hitting the ball agaisnt the keeper and am having 20shots on goal and the game turns out to be a draw with there keeper getting a 8 and mom.

this is happining almost once in 3 games .
