Patch has improved the game a lot, but the goals to shots ratio is ruining the game for me - nearly every game is frustration.

These are just some of the games at the beginning of this season as Arsenal.

Arsenal 0 (23 shots, 10 on target) Watford 0 (5 shots, 2 on target)

Arsenal 1 (15 shots, 11 on target) Man City 1 (8 shots, 2 on target)

Dnipro 2 (6 shots, 6 on target) Arsenal 2 (17 shots, 7 on target)

Arsenal 1 (14 shots, 8 on target) West Ham 0 (10 shots, 6 on target)

Middlesbrough 0 (10 shots, 2 on target) Arsenal 0 (10 shots, 5 on target)


In those 5 games alone I've had 79 shots, with 43 on target and scored a paltry 4 goals.

Are my strikers crap?

Berbatov: Finishing 16, Composure 16
Fred: Finishing 19, Composure 17
Rodriguez: Finishing 18, Composure 15
Vela: Finishing 15, Composure 16

With these strikers playing week in week out - 79 shots should equal more than 4 goals.

That's not forgetting the fact that surrounding players the likes of Fabregas, Hleb, Belluschi all have decent finishing attributes too. It's like my strike force plays for Rochdale!

How many times do players go clean through and just calmly kick it to the keeper like its a back pass?? Why don't they ever go round the keeper and kick it in an empty net like real life - it just never happens in this game. How come so many goals are being disallowed?? Nearly every game 1 or 2.

Again, this is rendering the game unplayable and unrealistic. I wouldn't mind if these results were one every 15 games, but this current ratio means that every season I will play 20 games where I will rack up 316 goal attempts with 172 on target produce only 16 goals - despite having some of the best strikers in Europe.

The first season was very much the same - this game is fundamentally flawed and needs to be patched AGAIN.

You should probably look up some real life Arsenal stats - especially those from last season.

i cant agree i think now the patch is out its great maybe you could be having to many long shots that could be why all the shots and not so many goals

If it was something like 20 games 2 goals I would be worried but 16 goals in 20 games doesn't sound too bad at least to a Sunderland supporter

Quite agree, i have the same problems, constantly having 20+ chances a game with around 10-12 on target and usually about 6-7 of them are sitters, one on ones normally, while the AI seems to need on a third of the chances i have to score.

People will say it's my tactics, but i've used various tactics, lowered tempo and such, but still the problem persists infact its worse after the patch, and dont forget these are good chances.

Others will say but it happens IRL, yes i agree but IRL it doesn't happen constantly.

This problem seems to have been around since CM 01/02, and i personally believe its SI way of cuntering super tactics, as i would imagine it would be near impossible to come up with a solution to stop people finding away of exploiting the match engine like before and creating shed load of chances, which is proven as people are creating tactics which are dominating games throughout home and away, its just everyone of those tactics has the same problem when it comes down to goal conversion rate.

But SI are never gonnna come out and tell us this are they!
