Default A good figure to offer to clubs to play a friendly?

WHen I come to arrange a friendly at home against a big European team (or a mediocre club even) what is a good amount to offer to the opposition to come and play you? fe, if the revenue is said to be £200k, would an enticing figure be £190k? Or could it be as little as £50k? What do you tend to offer? Around 50%? 75? 25?

I usually offer a bit under 50% of the expected income, or nothing at all. Never taken it too seriously though and mostly just get the Ass Man to arrange them.

Same here, start low and work your way up. It is surprising how little money is needed sometimes.

Good thread.

I have wondered about the same question at times.

For me, it depends on the reputation of the club I'm facing. If it's a shitty little club, then most of the money that will be raking in from attendance ARE because of me and my club, so I give them very little and usually they're happy to be just making that amount anyway because without it, they'd be making nothing or even less.

If it's a bigger side, I may offer 40% or so even..
