new england manager
Started a new game after the patch came out and after I had removed Steve McClaren as England manager.
Well things must be bad as the FA chose to employ this guy as his successor.

Likewise I had previously taken out Steve Staunton as Republic of Ireland manager and they to picked an equally awful generated manager.

yep been mentioned before. nations should choose new managers like clubs and not just employ the first person who applys.

Why is there any need for newgen managers? Cant we just have retired players becoming managers?

From my experience of playing the games for years, it seems to be a consistent problem with a very low or no reputation coach/manager being picked.

Just like when you create a new club you get a load of regen staff members who are generally pretty awful. On a side note, what skin is that? Wouldn't mind using that.

I think the only way to stop an unknown regen from being named as manager of a nation is to put yourself in the job from the start.
