I just wondered, if anyone plays FM08 on a widescreen could you put up a screen shot for me, i'm thinking about getting a 20" widescreen but not if FM looks funny on them.
Thanks dafuge massive help, it does look kind of nice, but then it doesn’t, so hard to tell when you can't click away and get a feel for it, pictures have helped big time
I keep comparing to what i have now, the writing looks smaller than what I’m used to, but I’m sure I could get used to that.
FM07 looks really good on it though, think I’ll need to sleep on this one.
How the game looks in Widescreen will also depend on what resolution your monitor supports, if your monitor has a height greater than 800 pixels (800 or less isn't enough for windowed mode - space needed for window title and taskbar, though full-screen widescreen should be supported).
If you are looking at a 20" widescreen then you shouldn't have problems with scroll bars, as your monitor should support 1440x900 or 1680x1050.
An advantage of a larger monitor, means you can play the game in Windowed Mode and stretch the window to whatever size is comfortable for you.
I prefer to play in a slightly smaller windowed resolution - more space than default, but not too muck you are left with empty space (even after adding extra bits in), ~1300x900 examples: Windowed OneWindowed Two
Whilst the text does look smaller intialy (same size, but a bigger screen) you soon get used to it and wonder how you coped with a smaller screen

Yes and yes if I ever get around to finishing it...
Play FM on a big monitor in windowed mode. I play on a widescreen 22" monitor of resoultion 1680x1050, in window mode I play something around 1024x800 and it runs perfectly fine.
You don't really need to use the full widescreen resolution, and in window mode you can still do other things.
Here is a screenshot of FM08 running on my widescreen display relative to the rest of the desktop. My desktop resolution is 1920x1200:Windowed Widescreen
Cheers for the heads up AlienAndy I edited my shortcut with my actual screen resolutoion and I can now play in fullscreen with everthing lookin pin sharp.
It also seems as though the game has become alot faster and smoother
