I'm mid-way through my third season with Barnet, and we're still in League Two.
Earlier on in the season, I thought I had cracked it; a high-tempo'd, wide tactic at home, utilizing direct passing; whilst away, we play more conservatively, narrow in width with a slower, shorter passing game - hitting the opponent on the counter. In the opening months of the season, we shot to the top.
But now, problems have begun to arise as teams come to Underhill with no intention of attacking; just sitting with 10 men behind the ball - leading to a string of draws and 1-0 losses at home.
To rectify this, I've tried to dominate possession, slowing down and shortening our passing game - but now we play like last season's Arsenal, just knocking it about the box, before being caught on the break.
Any suggestions to how I might be able to solve this would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure I could stand another season in this league.
