Thought I'd give this its own thread, seems to be a success for others in the thread I first posted it in.



















Works very well for both my Aberdeen team and my Leeds team, the wingers join the striker in attack as soon as you get the ball, and tend to score barrowloads as the defenders generally haven't marked up on them.

Passing style is short (apart from the wingers who are on direct) and tempo is slow. Defensive line is a few notches below normal, but that can be changed to suit the pace of your defence/team your up against. I don't change it myself but its up to you.

Passing focus is mixed, but if you find you arent dominating the game, or you just want to mix things up then change it to through the middle and you should see a totally different style from this tactic.

Generally good results, just the odd slip up against Bolton and Birmingham away.

Thanks tor the tactics. I've been needing to change my teams fortunes around for a while, can't seem to hang on to a lead! I normally play 442 diamond cause i like to incorporate a AMC in my attacks but i always seem to get out muscled in general midfield play....diamond leaves too much space for the opposition to play. Anyhoots, i just won my first match with the formation you posted up....my midfield looks like its got some power and control now. Awesome sauce!!!

I've tried a similar tactic of my own but couldn't get much out of it, lone striker was just too wasteful.
Gonna give this a try though, might use the Lucas as a playmaker in the DM role too.

Using the counter-attack option with slow passing and tempo works? I thought a counter-attack should be fast and direct.
