Hopefully Japan give the guy a rest next summer and leave him out the Confederations Cup squad if they make it.
He played the:
2003/2004 season in Italy.
Asian Cup in the 2004 summer.
2004/2005 season in Italy.
Confederations cup in 2005 summer.
2005/2006 season for Celtic.
World Cup in the 2006 summer.
2006/2007 season for Celtic.
2007 Asian Cup for Japan.
He's been playing non stop for 4 years. The worst thing is, he plays in every game and never pulls out an International squad.
If they win the Asian Cup, he'll have the Confederations Cup next summer. Then the summer after that the Asian Cup again, then he'll have the 2010 World Cup after that.
Its a miracle how he hardly ever picks up injuries!
yeah it's good that he keeps himself in such good shape. i read somewhere strachan and the physio team have documented naka's training and eating habits over his career to try to use them with the celtic youngsters.
even so, it'd surely benefit him to get a rest at some point. trouble is - when?
He deserves a rest, I agree but only after he helps Celtic win the SPL for a hatrick of times then he can be rested ... also shows how commited to the game he is, he never complains that he is tired or says im taking a break... he plays, plays and plays...
