Getting to your squad screen and then being able to do all the things the same way you could in '07 is literally 1 click away.

Are you seriously saying it's too much like hard work to click from the matchday tactics screen to the squad screen?
I understand that you find this feature something of an annoyance but saying 'I would love to be able to play the game but the matchday experience has ruined it for me. The games going in the bin if i cant resolve this issue.' is just way over the top.
I dont think it is, as i said if you look at my whole argument, if i want to blodd new talent on a spur of the moment thing, its a case of switching filters on and off etc. This is very annoying and as matches are the main thing here i cant enjoy the game because of it. </BLOCKQUOTE>

How is it? Before every game I just go to my squad screen and then choose the team in exactly the same way as I would have in FM07. I don't really see what you're getting at when you say 'its a case of switching filters on and off etc'

You know when your going through the whole matchday cycle? its a case of match analysis, then submit team, then match preview, then team talk, then opp instructions etc, on the submit team thing you dont have the option to view your reserve or youth teams without switching filters on

That's why you just go to your squad screen. It's one click away!

I'm not jumping on you here I just think you're missing out if you don't want to play the game because of something so simple to avoid.

When you're on the submit team screen just go to your squad and pick you're team as normal.

Then you can submit the team from there and it'll take you onto the next scren in the matchday flow (the one outlining your key players), then onto team talks then onto opposition instructions.

If you're not interested in doing the team talks just click ask assistant and if you're not bothered about opposition instructions just click straight past them. It's a very quick process just to continue through any of the screens you don't want to use once you've selected and submitted your squad.

I wasn't too sure about it at first but you soon get used to it.

I like team talks, they're good. Makes a difference which one you choose i think.

Do you not like the matchday experience then? As you choose to pick your squad this way i am guessing not?

Do you think they should get rid of it for FM09?

I actually like it now. It encourages me to use opposition instructions which I've found very effective and I like the build up and key player stuff.

I do choose to go to the squad screen to select my team though simply because I like to rotate a bit and use my reserves in games where I'm the massive favourite or have a good lead from the first leg.

So all in all I think the match day experience is fine once you get used to it, it still allows you to choose your squad the way we prefer to if you want.
