Because if they weren't in the game then people will just complain that they should be in.

I never touch the after game news articles. No matter what team i am, what position, win lose or draw, it always ALWAYS causes negative effect on the team, or lands me in hot water with the FA.

I ignore them. They are indeed very very pointless.

I dont think so.

SO used to have the most amazing feature. the old 'Complain about a ref' thingy. And it was awesome. The refs (if were wrong) got relegated to a loer division, and that feature far outclasses the current one we have.

Just one of those things SI took out... and nobody knows why

Completely agree and I've mentioned this myself a few times.

I just ignore them since I can't make an informed decision myself over the incident.

Pointless feature in the game

Its just another chance for all your players morale to plummet if you DARE say the wrong thing!

Actually that's a lie. I'm constantly making unjustified post match comments when suffering a frustrating loss. I've had loads of touchline bans just for unleashing my anger.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who lets it fly and concequences be damned. Just to let off some steam and get my anger out, a touchline ban is worth it from time to time. Per card appeals, I have had one overturned in 3 years and that was a UEFA decision (they got something right for once) not and FA decision.

i think the point is that in real life managers are asked that too. In real life the FA would never reverse a call EVER. This part of the game is just to frustrate you so that you can feel all the realism baby.
