We all know that the only option following such board responses are to issue an ultimatum.

Well, despite being the ever-lethal russian roulette, seeing the ultimatum button get staid and boring.

How about this alternative?

We get a press conference in which to express our frustration at the board's unresponsiveness by answering each media question with the same curt response.

"PRESS: Do you know how much you will have to spend ?

Manager: As always I am focused on the training pitch.

Have you had any assurances you’ll have what you want?

Manager: As always I am focused on training and coaching my team.

What about your long-term plan?

Manager: My plan is training and coaching the team.

Is there anything upsetting you?

Manager: As always I am focused on training and coaching my team.

Do you have anything to say?

Manager: As always I am focused on training and coaching my team.

It’s clear something is up...

Manager: You have my answer.

Well, that's how it could go.

Perhaps not such high replay value, but certainly worth doing couple times when the board gives you the "...getting increasingly annoyed at your persistent requests. They would prefer..." line.

but seriously I AM focused on training and coaching. In fact, training and coaching is all I am focused on. Never would I think of the England job. Training and coaching is all i am focused on. Training sessions are very important, so as you can see I am very focused on training and coaching.

Haha, yeah, "time on the training pitch" is a pet peeve media statement in the game.

The other one is when my players are bemused at my praise.

For sure, some players are so uptight & self-critical.

Bemused, huh? If i only had "let it hang" or "take a chill pill" as possible responses for these stiffs.

Either that or have the option to take them to a virtual bar, knock down couple cold ones with mr. perfectionist before praising his form.
