Default Newcastle Bluestar - Who are They?... Exactly!!

Sorry to rob a line from a classic TV ad, but I had a bit of an Accrington Stanley moment:

So I'm in the BSS going through the three games a week ordeal because cup season is upon me: (Regular league games, Santana Shield games, FA Cup Quali games, AND FA Trophy games...)

Anyway, Third Round FA Cup Quali, I get 'Newcastle Bluestar'. Now, My Yeading team ain't all that good, but we should easily see off this team.... right?

Wrong.

I get bludgeoned to death 1-7.

So, post game, I fully inspect the 'giant' killer that is Newcastle Bluestar. Greyed out they may be, but rubbish they are not.

Their stats far exceed my players. And they're greyed out. Hmmm...

Not only that, but a quick inspection of the FA Cup average attendances and we see the NBS get about 5,000 coming to each of their games.

Just who the hell is this team? I'm very jealous

Here ya go.

Become a fan. It has been said that teams full of greyed out players are always far better than the lower league teams full of real players. To that end in my first friendly match at Dumbarton in the Scottish Third Division I was hammered 9-1 at home by a Highland league side (or the equivalent) full of greyed out players. Gah!

Yep, it's a known fact that most managers tremble in horror against a greyed out team.

Would be nice to get an official word from SI that they're looking into it? I don't mind though, I find it a nice quirk...

I play with a huge database and lowest league manageable is the BSS/BSN...

Not sure how that helps really..

I didn't start this post to harp on about the supernatural powers of greyed out teams, I just started it because Newcastle Bluestar seem way, eay better than supernatural. Check out their players the next time you play...
