I spend hours a day working with Excel...didn't think Fm08 would turn into Excel too.

Can we thin the Tranparency of that White background...so I can see the backgound pics !

Don't think I'll be playing the game until some bright spark has designed a skin that actually looks good.

Not sure if it can be thinned, but it can be changed.

Menu.fmf, if opened in notepad, contains :
<colour name="background" red="255" green="255" blue="255"/>

So it must be possible to hex edit it to read 127s (a nice grey).

Unfortunately the text is black, but it's a start.

I wouldn't edit the FMF files, it could cause your game to screw up.

Yes but if you purely hex edit it then you wont be mis-saving the file-type header so it will remain a valid file.

A quick look through the file in notepad implies it's just an encrypted xml file as it's all clearly readable besides the file-type header and footer.

Now obviously they aren't all like that, but most of them can be (and have been) edited without problems.

Ah well. Not long and we'll have a skin with a more transparent background anyway so it's a moot point

spent days last year to collect stadiums' pics and now are useless (again!).

stadium backgrounds = more realism

any possibility for a new skin? (in th patch maybe?)

It's a graphic, so you won't be able to 'edit' it until you are able to access the fmf files to get the original graphics.

It is just a titled box, so if you skinned FM 2007 then you can do the same in FM 2008 as the location / setup of these files have not changed.

could someone please make a new skin 4 this, exactly the same as the current one just with no white bit in the middle. (but keep it on the left) Could this be done by someone for tomorrow? Shouldn't be too hard as it just needs deleting a bit off each page....
