I have a legit copy too. And all of the teams that qualified for Euro 2008, incl the hosts Austria and Switzerland didn't play in it.
Instead there were teams like San Marino, Andorra, Kazakstan and eventual winners belarus.
Come on SI this is just lazy, and I'd like to say that this is the only glitch, but it's not

How are SI being lazy. They have every right to protect their property as they see fit, and as they have suffered from Pirated copies in the past they decided to take these measures. As for the Securom problem, it seems to only affect some people otherwise no-one would be playing the game correctly so it must be something that all these computers have in common. It is not SI's fault as it is a Securom issue, however Si need to look into this as it could affect future sales unless they switch to another copy protection provider.

Are any of you playing games started using the demo ?
My understanding of this is it will not occur if you start a game using the retail version.
Jam Man there are plenty of people I trust on these forums which say that this bug and other intentional ones have made it into the retail game without a cracked exe or continuing a demo save.
In fact Jam Man, and I would suggest everyone who has the retail version do this, load up a game with only the Colombian league on it, and when you go to sleep have it sim to 2011 and see if England shows up in Copa America. I don't have the Euro 2008 "anti-piracy measure" but I sure do have that one.

I've just looked at Euro 2008 on my game and seen the same thing! Belaurs has Won the European Cup. I have legit gopy (bought from Play), but did have problems installing the game.
Sounds rather unlikely. I have purchased my copy from play.com and have had no problems at all, neither installing, nor during my first season which I have completed tonight.
The European Championships ran normally, the correct teams qualified as per the in game results and the quarter finals are next.
Sounds like you have a pirated copy. </BLOCKQUOTE>
That's down to conflicts between securom and the computer's cd drive.
Different pcs too so it can be any number of things, every case is unique.
A pc saavy person can find a way to bypass such security measures, a faithful customer with little or no pc know how on the other hand is screwed if there's a legit problem.

Sort it out SI!
Surely you must allow a chance for this to be possible, or else why play at all?
I think its perfectly normal for FM!

The copa america isnt the same issue though (even if its meant to be an anti piracy thin), are you saying you are confident the Euro 2008 problem does occur in retail only games ?
No I have to say I'm not 100% sure that the Euro problem happens in retail games..but then again what do you mean if the Copa America issues isn't the same? I'm 100% sure that that issue can happen in retail games obviously.
