I wonder if you guys complainig all over again actually watching a match or you just skiping it on key highlights becouse shots on target is just a statistic....many times when you are attacking you can have 20 long shots but not one real chance and your opp. might have only 2 decent counters but we all know that they are deady.

I love this unpredictability(??!) on 08 and believe its getting more and more like REAL FOOTBALL.

Unpredictability? I can almost guarentee that when I got into a match against a bottom of the table team on a 7 match losing streak that they will win (if only I could place a bet with the mad bookies in game who dont realise that a 7 game losing streak means a sure fire win over a top of the league team)

I have even tried playing ultradefensive max timewasting no creative freedom no forward runs etc hoping for a 0 - 0 at home to newly promoted Southend. Result, we dominated the game, 20 shots 14 on target most of which look really good chances as shown by the match engine and Southend win with their only shot of the game from their only corner of the game in the 85th minute.

I know it happens irl, it just seems a little overstated in FM08 + I would like to know how to create a tactic that dosent massively overcreate chances (although I suspect that is related to the ai's inability to build a decent team compared to human managers)

its part of the game, accept it...man united just lost to Bolton whos bottom of the league
