Am I the only one who is experiencing extremely poor defending with the new patch?

My defenders make so many mistakes that I am very close to smashing the screen. Even against crap teams my defence is terrible. I havent played a game yet, where I had the most chances.

Im playing with AaB in the danish league, its one of the better teams with a solid defence (stats).

I have tried a huge variety of tactics, and have tried chancing the way I play many times. They lost suck no matter what. The opponents can run through like it was the easiest thing in the world.

Anyone with the same experience?

My defenders are playing as solid as umm any League 2 top notch defenders would.

They make mistakes, but i'm not losing any sleep over it.

Has there been any major change in the way players defend, with the patch?

I have been playing CM/FM for many many years, and have never had the same problems as I have now. I consider myself to have a good tactical knowlegde.

I simply don't get, why Im losing constantly due to extremely bad defending. Makes me wanne cry

Making continuous and drastic changes to the way your team play will unsettle them and make the likelihood of poor results ever more likely...

There has been no major change in the way defenders behave. For the patch there were actually a few fixes that made defenders better.

Due to the chronic over-importance of tactics micro-management within the game you'll struggle until you hit on the right tactic or download one.

I am aware of that. Thats why I decided to try playing the same match over and over again. I had to try 13 times before finally winning against a team that I should easily beat. Then tried the same with the next match, where I after 6 attempts still havent won.

It seems that I have overcome the defensive problems by reducing the defenders closing down to own area.

I noticed this too. I starting watching my matches carefully and noticed that defenders miss a lot more tackles now on 'hard' tackling, and that they are more likley to get beat by thru balls. So I have reduced tackling to 'medium' and am not pushing up my line as much and it's helped a ton.

Exactly... Before, when the defenders where set to close down normally (own half), they opponents could just run through playing a simple 1-2 and then they were clear on goal.

Nu the defenders are more likely to back down and make it hard to get a shot in.

It is irritating though, that you can't play pressing football.

Are you saying about reloading? If so players are not getting used to it like that.
