Based on the game "Finale" (Google it! or visit a "game geek" type site for more info) and using the stats in the FM08 database I think an excellent development could be produced, posibly an Xmas best seller - not for this Xmas though, obviously). Using tackling / dribbling, passing / anticipation, crossing / heading etc (maybe only 6 or so attacking / phsical / defensive stats) I think a simple development could be produced. If I was a student entering the Xmas recess, as opposed to a 43 yr old with a very busy job and little enough time to play PM on the PC for real, I would be tempted to have a go with card & scissors myself. Check out Finale (if you are a board / card game fan) and use your imagination..., I could be on to something here..or not. And SI could make a fortune, card update packs, etc - and as they say, teams working on "other associated projects" do not drain resources from the established SI development teams (FM / FM Live).
..and hey guys, you could NEVER claim it is bugged or ever need to patch it!
(just to clarify, Im not taking the pxss, Im deadly serious and Finale has no UK distribution!)
Actually anyone ever played a board game called top club soccer? Must be quite a few years old now but you had to manage a team from Division Three and win Division One. That was pretty good.
