Like CaptainFerret said whilst thigns appear to work depending no the skin you're likely to get some serious problems here and there.

Skins work as a hierarchy. It looks in you skin folder and if the file isn't there is uses the default file from the data folder.

Lightweight skins with a few changes might appear to work but anything with match screen changes, changes to files in the settings folder (text colours etc) or indeed minor chages to a few screens means it's likely to break or you'll lose new features.

Same as it was for FM07. There was a glut of 'conversions' of older skins and none of them were done right. They all had daft issues - buttons missing form screens, wrong text colours.

"I MADE ALL 2007 SKINS WORK ON 2008!!!!!!!!" is stretching the truth.

I wouldn't bother risking it. Would rather wait for actual 08 skins to be released.

Exactly - All skins can be remade - you just cant expect to be able to copy the FM07 skin folder into FM08 - you need to go through all the added/changed panels and remake them so they contain all the FM08 info - it's not as simple as you think it is.

It's taken me 5 days to simply get the Flexion header into the game - mainly as I needed to recode it from scratch (well not exactly from scratch but almost) - I expect to be able to release Flexion 08 before the middle of November - but still, I'll probably encounter MORE problems as I carry on the edits.

My whole point of this is that you can't (by making one skin work) say that all skins for 07 will work on 08 - different skins will need different edits - I'd pay you if you can convert RS-5!

The skins will have problems to really i would wait until a new skin is ready. Why would the skin stop anyone playing this game? Thats' just stupid.

Now all of you wait a minute.....Ok the title meant: "I found a way to make them work but for most you need to know how to make some alterations.....I didnt mean NOR SAID that you just put them there and they work perfectly...." If you look my post above i already said that some things need changin since the game has new features as well...That is why i am trying to get advice from Acter ok......

I wouldn't try to "convert" any FM2007 skins to work with FM 2008.

You can reuse most of the same graphics and stuff but I would recommend starting again with the xml

Acter: the hellenic skin as i showed you works good with no missing buttons everything is fine apart from the main page and the dialog box (Process and progress) The dialog box i already fixed and made it match the skin....By the way i took different skins and i am creating my own... Could i please tell me how to change the attributes colour? (ps i downloaded one of your files but it doesnt override this)

Ok the guy who said about the RS-5 unfortunately i dont have it....If i had it i would tell you....

I also tried the UCLeague but that needs people who have Photoshop which i dont and dont know how to use it...Everything works ok but some buttons are not visible with that skin....
