Never done this before, managed to download a few facepacks and created a graphics folder. Never used WinRar before, what is the next step?

I have installed lots of things in the past with no probs, however im putting these facepacks into mydocs/fm08/graphics (which i created) and reloading the cache etc, but they're not appearing for some reason?? Any ideas? Driving me nuts!!
Do i just put in graphics, or create a sub folder in graphics for persons? or doesnt it matter??
