How do you make it more like FM2007? In my opinion it looks a bit ugly at the moment, everything looks too thin.

Also, where can you get the proper balls, nets ect, and where do you install them?

In your FM2008 folder in My Documents, add a new folder called Graphics if you haven't already, then make a new folder named Pitch within the Graphics folder. Add the balls etc folder you wish to use into the Pitch Folder.

Then reload Your skin in Preferences & they should now work.

(All FM2007 Match Gfx that i've tried using with FM2008 seem to work so there's no need to wait for new ones)



When adding new graphics, just put them in the same folder you would have for FM2007, but in My Documents instead. Create folders if they're not there in the same way FM2007 has them. This helps everything to be organised and easier when adding new GFX.

I've copied these steps and I can't manage to get the balls to show up in FM08. I've tried copying the old ball folder to My Docs/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/graphics/pitch, and I've tried copying them to My Docs/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/graphics/pictures/pitch. I've even tried making a skins directory and putting them in there.

Any advice? I've just noticed that FM07 balls don't have a config.xml file, do I need to create one?

Have you tried restarting the game? Simply loading from preferences didn't work for me when I installed the oval player icons ...
