Ok Im having trouble of my team basically taking 30 shots and only have 20 or so shots on target and only scoring 1 or 2 goals from them. Now having read up on it most people seems to think its because its due to the creative freedom (CF) being too hight.
I had my CF at 14 notches from the left. I have toned it down to 11. Now I still seem to get players shooting from distances or taking the wrong type of shots.
What is the ideal CF setting for attacking players. 11 seems low to me but its ok at them moment. Anything lower seems to suggest going into defensive mode of not shooting or creating and basically playing for posession.
I think it kind of depends on what kind of player and what kind of tactic. Obviously you wouldn't give low CF to someone with no creativity what so ever because he isn't going to create anything. I think also it depends on what kind of striker. Is he a big strong target man? Is he a pacy striker? A creative FC? I would suggest these depending on what type of striker
Target Man - Normal (7-8ish)
Pacy Striker - Normal (11-12ish)
Creative FC - High (16-17ish)
But then again if you have a creative FC try and limit the amount of players you do have on high CF otherwise it might effect results if too many players are given freedom. Only give the creative FC if he is one of your most creative players.
Personally I have the ideology that most of the sliders have to be adjusted according to your opponent's strengths. That is why I feel that creative freedom should be used more in attacking formations where against stronger opponents I would implement less creative freedom. For me, creative freedom is a tool that helps unlock tight/defensive AI formations or helps lock up your own...

Hope this helps
See I had that orginally and people said this is why your getting 30 shots on goal but 20 on target. So I tonned it down.

Are people using high CF IE greater then 12? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Depends on how good a players stats are for using CF well. If he's good enough to handle a higher CF then give it him an see what happens.
I think the most important stats a player needs are Creativity, Decisions and Flair. For the top level you need 15+ in all three. Also dribbling, passing and technique are important.
I give a lot of CF to only 2 players in my team. Currently playing with Barca (3rd season) and those players are my wingers (Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Dos Santos) in a regular 4-3-3 formation. It works great even after the patch.
