into 3rd season with villa now, and have assembled a decent squad capable of winning the leage (finished 2nd by a point last season),

but my future plans are being ravaged by the rich mercenaries from around Europe bidding constantly for my prized possesions.

Turning down the bids, or even negotiating them is upsetting my stars and ruining morale.

Is this completely unavoidable, or are there things i can do to stop them i.e will raising the asking price to an obscene amount stop the bids?

any ideas

Try raising the asking prices and also placing an "Unavalible for transfer" tag on them.

you can`t stop that villa has a less reputation then lets say Milan,and if the player is not very loyal to the club he is gonna get upset.But its only for a short period of time so just keep asking for like lets say 100 milions per player and eventually there gonna back off.

suppose its realistic really - i mean agbonglahor has a good 5 minutes in real life and arsenal are after him for 15 mil.

thu upside i guess is i now have loads of money, but cannot find players good enough that will come to me.

Sigh... No way to stop them. Unless you have a homegrown player who doesnt mind the constant 'negotiate offer's.

But two seasons in Europe and you won't have a lot of problems with want-aways...
