Hey all, in my 4th season with Man Utd and have 100 mill (pounds) to spend and my team is pretty much set perfectly so I just want to add a big name player to my team. Who should I go for?
I play with a 4-1-1-3-1 so only need on striker.
Currently have:
AMs - Ronaldo, Van der Vaart, Anderson, Nani plus Tevez sometimes.
STs - Ronney, Tevez, Huntelaar, Zarate (only one striker needed at a time).
CMs/DMs - Hargreaves, Veloso, Pirlo
Defenders - I have sold all the big names (Ferdinand, Vidic, Pique, Evra for 20+ mill each) and have groomed Marcelo and Sakho and will now groom Evans/Cathcart with Silvest, Brown, Neville, O'Shea as exeprienced back up.
Keepers - Kuszcack and Van Der Sar (sold Foster for 15 mill)
So which big name??? Messi? Fabregas? Aguero? Alves (though I don't think you should spend too much on a RB!)
Currently I favour Fab the most but the Arse want 100 mill for him, is that too much? Who should I go for?
Sorry, forgot to add I also have Breno as a defender to groom. Should I just splash the cash on Micah Richards? He's very very expensive though come the 4th season
You need to improve that defence. You could do so much better.
I'd say splash your cash on a big name defender. Sergio Ramos comes to mind first up. Better him than Micah Richards imo. Sell Nani and get Silva from Valencia instead. So much better than Nani. Also, you need to improve your GK's mate. Kuszcack is good as second choice but not a starter in a big club imo. VDS must be 40 by now so he should not be relied on. Get Akinfeev or Ustari for your team. If you want a big name keeper, try for Cech, Buffon or Casillas.
Hmmmm. I read on here before that Evans/Breno turn into gun defenders and so banked on them by bringing them in. Sakho has turned into a beauty, at one stage had 24 clubs after him! But if that's the consensus I'll have a look at it.
I am currently negotiating for Akinfeev. Bid around 18 mill for him, they came back with demands of 22 mill and then the thing that shits me most with this new transfer system.....I bid 20 mill and then they come back with demands of 32!! WTF??????
OK snapped up Akinfeev for 23 mill and Messi for 43 mill.
My defence is leaking goals very badly. I don't know why since it's exactly the same as last season minus Ferdinand and he wasn't putting in stirring performances at the time anyway!
Ramos is way too expensive atm, have had a bid of 55 mill rejected for him so can't go higher than that. Any other options???
Advice: Want a big name player!
