After editing the new 8.01 database to update some things and balance finances better I devided to leave the England post blank to begin the game.

A few games in and as it's international week I decide to see who the new manager is ...

A poxy Facegen Regen with NO experience of course, Rubbish stats and a reputation of REGIONAL. :eek:

How in programming can this happen ?

I really do think jobs and manager selection / movement is well and truly BORKED !

Not enough to re-start my first "proper" game but it is at times like this I wish the game came with a built in save-game editor (like CIV4 world builder). Then you could tweak anomalies likethis easily.

For FM09 can manager selection, movement and general database world levelling be a priority PLEASE ?

If you leave the management blank then it'll be taken by a random, how is a faceless regen any different to yourself.

Suffice to say that the regen if its as talentless as as you say will not last.

sod it, I just changed McClarens name to Alan Shearer, hes not in the game so ideal candidate! (Although not IRL!!)

Are you just trying to be witty or plain stupid. The original poster makes a really valid point here which deserves a serious answer. It is plainly ridiculous for a regen with Regional reputation to be offered the England manager's job despite our "cough" poor showing last night.
