I'm getting really infuriated with this happening, 2-3 times a game my AMC puts a lovely ball through for my striker, who seems to hit it first time from about 30 yards, as opposed to actually doing what a real striker would do and take it in towards the area.

Now beofre people tell me its my tactic, i dont have my strikers on taking long shots all the time. however even if i did that should not really matter, in the case of being through on goal the majority of strikers will get to within 18 or so (or less, depending on what the keeper is doing) the majority of the time, and shoot from there. they dont just have a crack from wherever they happen to find themselves

I know what you mean. I've never seen my striker dribble past a keeper despite having all the time in the world.

even worse,i had my striker passed the ball back when he was alone right infront of the goal and could have just passed the ball into the net...it did happen to my opponent also once,so i guess its fair and square.

What annoys me is that as soon as it seems like they've pretty much perfected teh game they completely rewrite the whole thing. for me FM07 was an absolute stunner of a game, same with 01-02. the only one i enjoyed between those 2 was 06, an almost finished 07. while this game is probably better than 06, it seems to have a few too many flaws. what was wrong with the 07 match engine? it might have had a few flaws but it was better than this one.

I dont want to seem ungrateful though, i do love these games. i bought world in conflict at the same time as this and i havent even played it once yet.
