2 problems with that.
firstly what if you have a striker with high long shots, ideally you'd like him to take long shots when a good situation arrives, now he's not going to do that.
secondly what if i tell my stiriker to run with the ball, now maybe he'll run in towards the goal before shooting. the problem i see here is that most of my strikers arent great dribblers, and while i expect them to dribble the ball in this circumstance, i dont expect them to try play ronaldo type football the rest of the time.
the inability to fix an error with one of the fundamental match engine problems is quite amazing, especially as its not deemed a pressing issue. playing through balls to my stirkers has been one of my key tactics as long as i've been playing these games, and the proposed fix will have massive repurcussions else where in my tactics. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Right, I will explain this only once. I cannot afford to spend much more time in this thread.
1. Lowering someone's long shots to 'Rarely' does not mean they won't take long shots. They will still take long shots when the chance is good. If anything, it means they will take long shots with better decisions behind them - meaning less wasted long shots.
2. This isn't a problem - it's a tactical decision you need to make. If you want players running in on goal like this then they should be good runners and dribblers. This is pretty much common sense. If you want strikers that are poop at running with the ball to run at goal. I understand it is frustrating seeing the occasional chance get hit a little too early, but that's all it is: an occasional chance. It's not like this is happening everytime someone is through on goal.
3. You have failed to read above. There at no point has been an "inability to fix an error." This bug, like every bug every found, has to be prioritised. Since it is not a major issue, and happens occasionally, more important issues HAVE to take priority. I understand your frustration, it annoys me when I see it too. We endeavour to fix as much as possible and do not like the incorrectly assumed presumption that we are incapable of fixing bugs. It is a matter of time and priority.
