iv just noticed the 8.01 patch has been released but when i click on search for updates at the game title menu it gets to the SI site and brings up a box saying "error fm2008 not recognised" (or similar). iv used a link given in the topic list at the top of the forum screen but dont think iv saved it to the right place. any ideas please?

go back to where you downloaded it and double clikc on it, it will prob be in "my documents"

cheers guys. iv downloaded it ok, extract it and it begins to update, it gets to file 47 of 47 and then an error message appears saying "A sharing violation occured while accessing CProgram Files\Sports Ineractive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe.
do i need to download a different patch or is it going wrong at my end?
