Definitely a fair review of the game. A+ on the writing!

I would think it'll be very difficult for SI to have a "lite" function without releasing two wholly different games. I do agree with other posters that a more in depth "assistant manager" function would be sufficient enough to satisfy both types of customers. Explain to users WHY they might be failing in certain areas instead of very vague comments.

In any case, I personally enjoy the daunting depth but can completely understand those that do not and just want to spend an hour kicking back after work playing a few matches.

"The series is dangerously close to alienating everyone but the hardcore, and it’s for this reason the game doesn’t get the 9 out of 10 score it usually gets."

He seems like the spokesperson for everyone but the hardcore. Do you have to be hardcore to like the game in its current state?.What is hardcore anyways?. Amount off time you play the game, how you dress up before playing, how long you have been following the series or are you simply hardcore if you like the current version?.
I dont consider me hardcore at all, dont really play that much, my wifey have a strict around the house dress code, i have been following this series always and i like the current version... and .
I struggle a bit with installing graphics files etc. Other than that i cant really see how, if you managed to find your way around Fm2006, you shouldnt be able to do the same in this version.Even the same tatics work..

Yes, that might be a good idea.

Yeah, the Assistant manager idea's a good one. I'm not saying I couldn't get my head round the game, but I pity a newbie getting into the game for the first time.

If he is new to the series all together yes, but i have planty off games were the manual is bigger than the SI one, and that i find is a play and learn process get into.
