Something which has shocked me in the last week is the reaction by 'so called' football fans who seemed to enjoy the fact that a West Ham player got injured during a pre-season friendly.
While rivalry can be good for sport as it makes things more interesting, laughing at someone's injury which could have had major consequences is shameful.
When Rooney and Becks got injured I didn't hear any football fans laughing and gloating did you?? But I guess if it happens to a West Ham player it's different?
There is no room in sport for people who laugh at this sort of thing. I'm not saying West Ham are the only victims here cos how many times has one of your players got injured and people have laughed and seemed to enjoy the fact that the player got injured??
For those who do revel in someone else's pain - you should be ashamed.
