MY football manager game is fine but for the fact that when i go to load a previously saved game i am always shown an error message.
The message is as follows:
"XML PARSING ERROR!
not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1 of last-saved-game.xml"
This message also appears when i first start the game, before the advertising slide show is over at the begging of the game.
Is there any possible way of fixing this please?
Another message also appears when i quit the game, this is as follows:
"XML PARSING ERROR!
not well-formed (invalid token)at line 1 of Profile0.xml"
Don't know if that shines any more light on the matter or not.
1- Uninstall the game and make sure all other files have been removed (check your My Documents and the location where you have installed the game. Please note here - you may want to save any tactics/save games, filters etc you have and make a back up copy of them). Then, I would also recommend deleting your cache: You can do this by:
For XP:
1- Make sure you are able to see hidden folders:
When in a window, go to 'Tools'->'Folder Options'->'View'-> and make sure 'Show hidden files and folders' is selected.
2- Browse to CDocuments and Settings\<username>\Application Data and delete the 'Sports Interactive' folder.
Or for Vista:
1- In a window, go to 'Organize'->'Folder and Search Options'->'View'-> and select 'Show hidden files and folders'.
2- Now browse to CUsers\<username>\App Data\Roaming and delete the 'Sports Interactive' folder.
Also make sure you remove any third party software such as sound packs, face packs, kits etc.
Then re-install the game, not adding any graphics or anything similar and start a new game.
