I'm not sure how much it would cost for SI to secure the rights to the premiership etc. but if it came down to SI bumping the price to accomodate this, would you be willing to shell out the extra dosh on top?

I know there are facepacks, logopacks available but let's face it, it's a pain, and causes inconsitency in the game.

No I wouldn't. And it's a moot point anyway, as the licenses aren't available.

no and EA have bottomless pockets and will monopolise the premiership rights for some time yet

shame EA is nothing but a spoiled tycoon who makes rubbish games. they have licenses of so many sports, yet their games are always rubbish with much better alternatives gameplay wise.

Causes "inconsistency" only on a cosmetic level, though.

Look at FIFA vs Winning Eleven/PES. While FIFA has always had the edge in liscencing, Konami tends to produce the better game in terms of gameplay, etc (in most editions).

EA have exclusive licenses to a number of the leagues, in particular Germany, IIRC. That's why they don't have the licenses in PES.

And no, I wouldn't pay £35 for the game. I baulk at £25 as it is, even though I love the game.

i figured that would be the answer, but it was really a hypothetical question!

so is EA's ownership to the logos from the premiership, for example, COMPLETELY exclusive?

PES has acquired Spurs & Newcastle's official endorsement for it's new game.

It's a shame, because apart from the licenses, EA's games bare very little resemblance to the real life.
