What I've noticed is the players for "grey teams" are usually as good as they would be if they were real players.
If you go and look at a random team from Macadonia, the players will, predictibly, be crap. However, if you go and have a look at the grey players from Olympiakos, you'll see the players are as good as they would be if you were real.
I think this is just a way to balance it out, as on the older games, when you played a grey team, you just destroyed them. Now, they're as much as a challenge as the team should be

How has your team done against "Grey teams"? Post #4
I know this is nothing related to this challenge but I'm playing as Barrow so it's similar terms with the same rules minus the holiday bit.
Just to follow up on the grey teams beating us convincingly theme. I just finished pre-season, here are the results:
Eastwood(Greys) - Lost 5-0
Blackpool(Non-greys) - Lost 4-2
Carlisle(Non-greys) - Lost 2-1
Ards(Greys) - Lost 3-1
Salisbury(Non-greys) - Won 1-0
The 2 games against the greys were dominated by the greys, Eastwood being 5-0 up at half time. The other 3 games were quite a lot better, even the Blackpool game who are 4 divisions above me.
These grey teams are quite 'super'.
Thanks for reading.

i agree when i have cup draws i would rather get a `real` team than a `grey` team as the `grey` team always seems to beat me which is annoying when the FA cup can be lucrative to lower league teams

I've had a mix of results. In a home game, I've been beaten 4-0 by a team of greys who was worth 5K when my team was worth 1 million. In an away game, I've beaten a team of greys 9-0.
