He's talking about the decline in community values and increasing social segregation in the UK, the new millennium dawning on a land where next door neighbours don't talk to eachother, where it's seen as normal for individuals and families to isolate themselves away from everyone except those they feel totally safe with.
Where the guy who works in the local shop doesn't know your name, and you don't want him to. And you don't want him to talk to you either.
Where it's more important to have a BMW or an Audi on your block-paved driveway than to have any meaningful contact with the human race.
Where a pensioner can fall down a manhole in a Tesco's carpark and be stuck down there for 8 hours shouting for help while people walk past ignoring him.

Some parts of the country still have some spirit left but if you live in a commuter area outside of London you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Or maybe not, because when you've experienced it your whole life, you think it's normal. Why else would anyone live like that?

That's still a month before you did. And I was certain I registered years ago, but apparently I confused this forum with another. Besides, the time someone spends on the forums doesn't make them right or wrong, their actions do.
You didn't say it explicitly, but what you said and how you said it told the tale. And if one or two individuals attacked you (I can't be bothered to go check now), that's their failing... it certainly wasn't "everybody". And the fact you didn't provide any proof of your achievement only serves to strengthen their position.
What, British? Jealous? You'd be wrong on both counts. I'm Croatian, and I don't have time, skill, willpower, or inclination to make skins. And I'm very grateful to everyone who makes the attempt (yes, including you).
I do notice a difference in education. My posts are much better worded, more correctly punctuated and capitalised, and overall show a substantially higher writing skills. ;p
And I'm not judging you, I am contributing... except my contribution isn't material, but rather an attempt at raising the overall decency level on the forums, as well as providing constructive criticism in hopes that it will help those who do provide something material can improve it even further to the benefit of us all.

(Please, don't let my nickname fool you. It's been with me for over 20 years now, and I haven't been a kid for quite some time.)

Would you please provide your skin so I (and otheres) can try it and perhaps provide some constructive criticism for you specifically? After all, just because you haven't had trouble with it yet doesn't mean others will have the same experience.

Ummm thats a bit wrong isnt it, making up a skin from other peoples work.

But i guess that now you know how to 'knock' a skin up you could always build one up from scratch.

I'd have a go myself, being a graphic designer i have got access to all the programs needed, just cant be bothered really.

Think ill wait for a 'real skin' to be developed.

To be frank like I said in another one of my posts if someone cant offer anything constructive to the thread why bother posting in it regardless of how long you been registered on the forums…

Every person has the right to voice their opinions and respond to threads but people need to consider in what way you construct your posts.
