"Dont let your performance drop" - Angerd my players why??

I was winning 3-0 at half time. One of the options was Dont let your performance drop. - Meaning keep up what you are doing.

Now for some reason my players was not happy with this talk why?

Obviously the more sensitive of your little darlings felt that being 3-0 up should have merited some praise- this one is best kept for a small lead against a good team, or a 2-0 lead away from home IMO

I agree...3-0 up..don't let your performance drop was severe..i would have said pleased.

Yeah theyve worked their ******** off in the first half and your telling them to make sure they dont lift off the gas.

Whenever im 2 or 3 goals up i say im Thrilled.

When im 1 or 2 goals down i say we must get a result no excuses.

I was 3-0 up at half time and i said 'Pleased' as advised by my Ass Man and had to hang on as they quickly pulled it back to 3-2. Wish i had went for that option, angry or not!
