0-0 final result. For once I was actually concerned enough to bench 2 of my best players who were both very tired from the last match. With fitness ranging from 80-90 for the majority of the team, the first 15 mins would tell me all I needed to know.
I expected the match to be tight, low conditioning meant my players wouldn't be able to close down as much so I jiggled my team the best way I could, reduced width to normal instead of wide to make sure I stayed more compact. In the first quarter possession was clearly aldershots who managed to test my keeper a couple of times.
They switched back to a lower tempo after the first 15 minutes, we did well to keep them from taking easy shots, the 2 nonspecific man markers did a good job of tracking their targets, denying that striker of theirs 2 good goalscoring chances.
We had a few ourselves, but I never really expected to do the domination I did in other matches simply because my players were worn out.
By the 80th min I had 2 players touching the low 40s and decided to take them off. We settled for a goaless draw bringing our winning streak to an end.

Well i've started a new game with your tactics and pre-season has gone horrible. My Peterborough team are more than capable of promotion and my squad has all the reccommended abilities for this tactic.
So far I have been spanked by total rubbish non-league teams. Any ideas?
Bray Wanderers L 5-1
Dorchester L 2-1

Hey Rash (sorry about posting so muh in your thread I will stop if you want me too)
I have downloaded your tactics and have had good results.
But I prefer making my own and my next match is a against the best side in the league by a mile.
So I have created a 4-5-1 that I am going to use to draw and mayb get a lucky win.
So if I uploaded it would you take a look and report any mistakes you find.
Thnx in advance,

| I don't know your players, but go with your gut..just remember if you want to set up a tactic that grinds out a result it should ideally:
a. Have short to mixed passing
b. A slow or normal tempo
c. Selectively choose who will play TTB and make sure they have direct passing if they are good passers
d. For the players upfront, give them more creative freedom to find space.
The players in midfield, the 5 of them should have mentalities all in the normal range. You can position some of them higher up the pitch with the farrow. Their normal mentality should help them track back and support their players

| Incidentally I lost the first five friendlies too if you followed this thread..and I started off the season grinding out results till morale got up and once we started doing better and winning I became more adventurous with tactics.

Yes, using the beta patch. Seems posession is equal in my games but I get battered? Just drew with gateshead 2-2.
