Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Opposition instructions

Hello,

I'm a bit confused with setting opposition instructions in pre-match settings.
When it is possible to choose 'show on foot' option, would somebody please explain to me what that means?

Does it mean that if is choose 'right foot', my defender will be more aware and make a tackle if attacker is able to shoot with right foot or, vice versa, he's careless?
In other words - should i choose opposition strikers stronger or weaker foot in this option?

I think my English is quite OK, and I also know all specific football terms but I never understood what SI meant with this option :/ So could somebody please help me out here.

Thnx

I believe its just basically for when theres a one on one situation with a defender. If the defender shows the player onto his weaker side then they are less likely to go past them, put in a good cross or shoot successfully.

However i don't use this feature as the better teams should just play how they play, afterall there better than the opposition. Play your own game, not theirs.

I was hoping somebody could give me alittle more information on these instructions...

If i say, set my players to Hard Tackle, and Close down Always, on a striker say...

Is this going to pull them out of position, and over-ride my player instructions?

I think but not sure that if you say mark tight and close down aways it alerts the whole team to watch that player then playing zonal?

I think? Not sure really.
