Sorry was too hasty in posting, I found out how to do it.
Rotate With the free transform tool.

You write in your subject that you want to mirror a path, you also talk about flipping, but... rotating a path is not the same as mirroring.

I don't understand it.. .why don't you just flip the path?
Select the complete path and go to Edit/Transform Path/Flip Vertical.
You must be doing something wrong BiteM2k, if that option is grayed out

Indeed i agree.
I use it alot in photoshop, but then one day it doesnt work! i thought i was loosing my mind!! so i tried other methods of achieving my goal. you are right it is not the same the thing to mirror or to flip. i stand corrected!
