Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default How to get my strikers to stay in the centre

I am playing with Liverpool and normally have Torres and Kuyt up front, but it seems no matter what instructions I give they always drift out to the wings. I know Torres has "Moves into channles" as a PPM, but surely there must be some way of telling him to stay in the middle. A lot of the time its like I have no strikers, just 6 wingers (including the 2 wing backs).

If they have forward runs set to often they will wander more. Also if they have high mentality and playing onto the oppositions offside line they will wander more to the sides. Since it will be the only direction to move to without becoming in an offside position.

Cross ball set to often will make them push wider. As well as your teams width.

Well for starters you can get them to cross rarely which will make them stay centre instead of drifting wide to cross the ball.
