As the title says, I'm having a lot of trouble scoring with Liverpool. At the beginning of the 2007 season, I was getting scored on way too much so I set up a fairly defensive tactic that is wonderful at stopping the other team, but goals are hard to come by for me.
Just about every game right now is a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
Here is my most common lineup. I am aware that the defense looks.. awkward at best, but it works! lol
Overall, I'm playing a slow paced, short passing game, with a wide mindset. My defense is unbreakable practically, and the ball gets upfield quite a bit, I just can't get the finishing.
I've tried an arrangement of striking duos, and I'm signing Oscar Trejo and Henri Saivet soon, both high potential young strikers.
ANYWAY, what I'm trying to ask, is there a tactical error I'm making, or are my strikers just having a poor season?
I'd be glad to answer any questions about my own question, as I am aware that my description was a tad vague. I had trouble explaining it.
put gerrard in behind the stikers so one further forward, only put the farrows on the wings 1 forward, instead of putting arrows on the DM change their player tacticks to no forward runs no run with ball but plenty of through balls, take all arrows off the defence and change player tactics so centre stays no matter what, change right and left back to often forward runs and crossing, the put over all tactics on half attack, high tempo, often closing down, quite wide and defensive line very deep, and half way to short on passing, goals will come in their millions
