At the moment, I'm having trouble limiting chances (8.0.1). Basically I'm scoring them by the hatfull, about 35 in 15 games, but have also let in 21 in the same amount. That's over a goal a game which is a bit too much for my liking, it should really be less than 1.0 a game.
Basically I have tried a few different arrangements but having got anything solid working so I was wondering if someone could help me out a wee bit.
At the moment I have the following instructions going:
DC - Low closing down, low mentality, hard tackling, short passing (works well I find). Tight marking, but not man.
DR/L - Two notches above DC in mentality, 1 below midpoint on closing down, more direct passing, Tight marking, but they have forward runs set to mixed.
DMC/MC - Two notches above DR/L but quite a bit more closing down along with the rest of midfield, shorter passing, hold up ball.
There is a deep defensive line, but the overall mentality is about 3 notches above midpoint, so slightly attacking.
What I'm finding is that no matter how low I set the defensive line, I'm still getting ripped to shreads by a through ball, or one of my players will drift out of position and closed down when I told them not to, and then I get cut up. So I'm not really sure what is going wrong.
If anyone needs any further information, I will upload the tactic for people to have a look at and see if they can point out and glaringly obvious problems.
Thanks for any feedback in advance

Might sound silly, but have you players got the stats to do the job?
