Well I was Moving around the forums more frequent lately and i had seen many people including me suffering at many issues about the game.

Now after most of the Bugs have been fixed and The game is being more enjoyable i would like to say that the idea of this thread came cross my mind when i face a certain Tactical problems during somegames.

The Idea of this Thread is that you post a rar file uploaded at rapidshare or whatever host you prefer and this Folder will include

The Match PKM
The Match Stats Pics
Team Formation Pics
And Team Instruction Pics

If you would like to state further info it will be great.

Then The Tactical Jenius in FM carrers would have a glance on our issues and try giving us some tweaks so we improve as tactical managers too.

And As a start of this thread i will post my problem.. Not a huge one IMO as I Win But the match um showin here was some way strange.

I play barclona in Champions league Semi Final agains Chelsea I had A narrow home win with 3-2 and i had an away draw for 2-2 so i qualified.

The issue is Henry Who has scored 48 Goals This Season wasted too much easy shots..

So i was asking what tweaks can i do so i can Prevent this.

I'm sorry, but I can't upload any pics, because my problem is something I did during one game, instead of over a time period. I play with Mancester United and I always check the player's stats and I do what is required to win the general game. (update the tactics based on opposing team etc.)
Although, in my last match (against Tottenham) I took the chance and picked Carrick as a playmaker and Rooney as Target man, with Anderson and Tevez as support. The game ended 0-0 and I yelled at my players due to the fact that they couldn't convert any of their 18 chances into a single goal!
My question is: was my temperament un-called for, did I do wrong when choosing my target-man and Playmaker, or should Man Utd stay away from using PM's and TM's?
If my last question is no, what tactic should I use to underline their performance?

O,try minoring the tempo and try with a quite normal/quick but not that quick time wasting..I think this should be fine

Or do you mean hes scored 48 goals and he would he miss loads of easy shots in the final ?

Anyway this brings me to my problem, which is much the same, scoring is so hard in fm2008 for me atm..

Im playing as Arsenal, and am getting 60% possession if i play slow tempo 75-85% passing, i can get either 20 shots on goal or 30 shots on goal depending on tempo width ect..

There is no obviouse problem with the tactic..

Ok so i lied a bit, i do get a few goals 2.0 per game and 0.6 conceeded which is ace, but my strikers will_not_score.. i just dont get it!! Adebayor has now gone 12 games without a goal and in 12 games hes managed 8 6.00 ratings which is quiet shocking, ive even resorted to saying "i aint happy with a player", which i hate doing as its un-constructive for moral. I then drop him for a match, but the next game, hes back to a 6 scores 2 goals both disallowed because of offside and hes back to useless again, I've tryed using him as a target man with supply to head then i tryed mixed, as hes well balenced target man i've tryed all levels of creative freedom, i've tryed him on team mentality of 15, with the mr/ml and the other striker, i've tryed him on his own mentality of 15 16 17 18 19 20 i've tryed rwb mixed and often fwd runs mixed and often and ive tryed hold up ball.. Nothing seems to work. It wouldnt be a problem if it was the other striker was scoring and he was getting the assists, but he dont, there both getting really crap ratings due to the lack of involvement in the team, and i feel in-time this is going to effect the team, because if the other lads stop scoring, im in big truble.

Indeed.. this seeems to be the case with me as well. Since 8.01 patch my striker dried up.. totally. My midfield is creating lots of 1 on 1 chance for my strikers (as in really 1 on 1 chance.. really really alone with the GK ).. They just too happy to pass to the Opp. GK, not shooting... >.> I even beat Millwall for FA Cup 1 - 0. courtesy of a penalty ... >.<

In the Beta Patch i suufered from a lot of shots going over the crossbar, atleast with the Full Patch that has been fixed - they now all go wide!

And before peoples barge in here and say "its your tactic!!!ONEELEVEN!! Lemme tell you this, My tactic is based on wwfan control tactic from his thread. Tweaked to fit with rsenal style of play, which in the beta patch was banging and average 2.2 goals, not great but I'm happy with it. When the patch out, it seems that my strikers which is closing down very hardly before couldnt beat the closing down of defenders. Very nice, and no problem, I end up giving them less CD, which resulted in them finding a lot of space when they receive tru balls from the midfield. Quality balls, where before they usually closed down by their markers or both CD, they are now free to 1 on 1. My tactic is dominating in possession, and limiting their pass rate to very average, my midfields are making quality tru ball to my FCs, its just that they simply passing to the GK at the end is what ****ing me to no ends. I'm currently running on full month without outfield goals. My source of goals now is from Senderos, God help me he keep heading those from corners.

You don't need an expert to tell you what's wrong with your tactics, it's obvious. First, your tactical instructions are full of extremes, like passing on 1, defensive line on 1... plus a usual combination of those extremes which produces problems like yours with 100% success:

Mentality - almost all out attack
Tempo: 19
Time wasting: 1

This will always produce those kinds of games where you have 20-30 shots on goal, but rarely score. Basicaly, what you told your players is to never think, never look around for a better solution, but to do something ultra attacking and to do it NOW! NOW! NOW!

Decrease metality a bit. That will tell your players that it's ok to pass a ball back or to side sometimes if there is no good attacking option. As it is now, they will always look for something to do in forward direction, which is not always posssible. So instead of doing something normal, they'll shoot stupid shots which keeper will save easily.

Derease tempo and increase time wasting - that will allow your players to think a bit and use their heads to find a best solution instead of forcing them to do the first thing that comes to their minds. In that way instead of ending game with 25 rushed shots from bad positions (although they might not look that way to you on 2D screen, that's what your tactics is producing), you'll get less but better chances.

And generally, stay away from extremes on sliders. Especially from lots of extremes in one tactics. Almost all real (and AI) teams are playing mostly normal football with maybe couple of deviations form normal which try to make use of their strengths. Having many extremes makes your players play abnormal game and it produces abnormal results
